5K for Kids Mental Health

5K for Kids Mental Health

Rainbow UA is teaming up for the 5K for Kids’ Mental Health—and we’d love for you to join us!

Why We Walk, Run and Fundraise

One in five kids is living with a mental health disorder—but five out of five have mental health. Every child deserves access to resources, support, and hope. This is especially critical for LGBTQ+ youth, who are at a higher risk of attempting suicide than their peers. In 2024, The Trevor Project reported that more than 1 in 10 (12%) of LGBTQ+ young people had attempted suicide, and a startling 50% of LGBTQ+ young people who wanted mental health care in the past year were unable to get it.

How You Can Help

  • Donate: Every dollar makes a difference. Select a member of our team and click “donate” to support the cause.

  • Join the Team: Lace up and walk or run alongside us—whether in Columbus or virtually.

  • Spread the Word: Share our page with your friends, family, and networks.

This isn't just a 5K—it's a movement. Together, we're raising awareness and funds to advance the mission of The Kids Mental Health Foundation: to provide free, expert-created mental health resources to empower grownups with confidence to understand, address and promote the mental health of kids.

Your generosity and support are invaluable. Together, we’re building a brighter future and supporting a cause that truly matters.

Thank You!
